Summer Time Porch Dinner

Bean and Corn Salad:
Black beans
Corn
Salasa
Salt

Mix together. It doesn't get much easier than that.

BBQ Tempeh and Onions:
Grilled on the panini ad brushes with BBQ sauce.

Fruit Salad with Lime and Salt:
Apples, yellow watermelon and peaches mixed with lime juice and sprinkled with black salt.

The black salt really helped bring out the flavors of the fruit. I love my black sea salt.

This meal was a great outside dinner. I'll have to remind myself of this time of year come January.

That yellow watermelon is gorgeous! And aren't simple black bean salads the best? Yours sounds great!

Mmm, I'm loving catching up on your blog with all these tempting photos. The black bean and corn creation sounds like something I would eat. It's so simple, yet perfect. Oh, and that tempeh? Wow!

Fruit with lime juice and black salt?! I've never even heard of black salt! Sounds interesting though.

E-Z cooking is the way to go. Simple food always tastes best. Pretty photos!

Oh how COOOOL! Finally, finally, finally someone has used black salt! This sounds DEE-LISH too.

I use black salt when I make tofu-scramble. It adds an almost sulphur-y, nice eggy taste to scrambled tofu.

Which makes it sound like it wouldn't be good on fruit, but actually, I think it would be awesome!

I always forget how simple bean and corn salad is to make. I always order it out and think to myself "I could have done a better job with this at home."
