Happy Birthday Nana

My Nana would have turned 82 last Saturdau. I was planning to visit her, but she's no longer around to visit.
In celebration of her life I made this cake:

Three layers of chocolate cake, two layers each. Chocolate raspberry filling between each layer. A raspberry buttercream and thick chocolately ganache all over the top. I love how it looks like it's melting.

And this cake:

This was a chocolate, chocolate, chocolate cake.

Both of those cakes look fantastic. They are both such a sweet tribute. I am very close to both of my grandmothers so I can understand your adoration. I love the cake slice, it looks moist and really wonderful. Where is the recipe from?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I will be back to blogging in due time. I need to learn to deal with my non-internet life in a healthy way first.
